Latest Directions under the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions)
(Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F) on Swimming Pool
In the light of the latest situation of the COVID-19, pursuant to the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F) (the Regulation), the Secretary for Food and Health has issued the latest directions through notices published in the Gazette on 15 September 2020. Swimming pool may open for a period of 7 days from 18 September 2020 to 24 September 2020 subject to the requirements and restrictions detailed at Annex.
For continuous upkeep of environmental hygiene, swimming pool management must make concerted and persistent efforts to ensure cleanliness on the premises. This Department will take stringent enforcement action against offenders in defiance of legislation on environmental hygiene issue.
