Prevention of the Spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019
Appeal to Swimming Pool Practitioners to Undergo Testing
This department now writes to the swimming pool proprietors and operators in the light of the latest situation of the COVID-19, informing you of the free testing channels available so that swimming pool practitioners may consider using them.
Swimming pool operators may choose the following free COVID-19 testing channels below:
- To obtain a deep throat saliva specimen collection pack from any of the 121 post offices or 47 designated general outpatient clinics (GOPCs) of the Hospital Authority (see the distribution points and time at www.hongkongpost.hk/en/about_us/network/SpecimenCollection/index.html#list and www.coronavirus.gov.hk/pdf/HA_clinics_submission_time_bilingual.pdf) and return the specimen to designated specimen collection points (see the specimen collection points and time at www.chp.gov.hk/files/pdf/list_of_collection_points_en.pdf and www.coronavirus.gov.hk/pdf/HA_clinics_submission_time_bilingual.pdf); or
- To obtain specimen collection packs from vending machines at 10 MTR stations. Specimens are required to be returned to the designated specimen collection points (see the list at https://www.mtr.com.hk/archive/corporate/en/press_release/PR-20-080-E.pdf).
For continuous upkeep of environmental hygiene, swimming pool proprietors and operators must ensure cleanliness of premises in a concerted and persistent manner. With solidarity to fight the virus together, we should be able to rise above this wave of the epidemic together and enable our normal economic and social activities to resume normal.
